BBM for Android, iOS will release within few days

BlackBerry's chief marketing officer, Frank Boulben promised that the BBM for Android and iOS platform is expected to launch within days.

BlackBerry had released BlackBerry Messenger for Android and iOS platforms back in September this year but forced to withdraw the same after the Android build of BBM got leaked before the official release. Now Frank Boulben, the chief marketing officer of BlackBerry, told Reuters that the BBM for Android and iOS can be expected to release within matter of days.

The BBM for Android and iOS platform will bring the same messaging experience with bunch of new features. Apart from messaging, sharing files and group chats, the BBM for Android and iOS will not have BBM Voice and BBM Video from the day one.

The BlackBerry Messenger for Android and iOS platform will arrive to let the users get started with the existing BlackBerry ID or registering with a new one.

Consumer electronics maker, Binatone has launched a tablet for kids, called Binatone App Star. The tablet comes preloaded with educational and related applications and is priced at Rs 9,999. The tablet is designed for kids with age 4 years and above.

The Binatone App Star tablet has a 7 inch display with a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The tablet comes with a 1 GHz processor, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB of internal storage memory, and 16 GB micro SD card slot. For connectivity the tablet comes with only WiFi connectivity and there is a front VGA camera for self portraits and video chats as well.

The tablet has Android operating system but its users interface has been customized keeping kids in mind. The user interface also allows parents to get additional control on what the kids might get access to with password protection and much more.

The international version of Binatone App Star comes with 250 preloaded application and 5600 more apps that kids can download and enjoy on their devices. In India also we expect the same to be made available along with the very useful bumper case that the tablet ships with to protect it from damages.
